Visiting Big Bend Country
Quintessential Texas – the Lone Star State’s Big Bend Country. Tumbleweeds rolling across sandy plains filled with scrub brush and cacti are the back drop for historic communities from Midland and Odessa south to Big Bend National Park and west to El Paso and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Celebrate Texas heritage and culture at Big Bend Country events including the World’s First Rodeo at June’s West of the Pecos Rodeo, or the West Texas Guitar Festival at the Midland-Odessa Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center. From El Paso, the largest city on the US’ southern border through the 41,000 square miles eastward – enjoy Texas Big Bend Country.
