College Football in the Lone Star State
The Southland Conference, established in 1963, features universities from Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas, and fields most major sports. Although it wouldn’t be considered a major conference by most college football standards, the Southland Conference still yields competitive football teams regularly finish with winning records.
