Hotels in Navasota, TX

Set in southeast Texas, find Navasota in the outskirts of the Greater Houston area. Known as the Blues Capital of Texas, Navasota was established in 1856 when the Houston and Texas Central Railroads were constructed through town.

Historic Downtown Navasota is listed on National Register of Historic Places, and features a collection of antique shops, quaint eateries, and the Navasota Blues Alley. A festive city, Navasota hosts annual events like the Blues Bluebonnets & BBQ and Navasota Bluesfest – both honoring native blues musician Mance Lipscomb.

Its close proximity to Sam Houston National Forest and other areas provide ample opportunity for outdoor recreation. Navasota is also found along the Eagle Ford Shale – an oil and gas formation in Texas' Western Gulf Basin.
