Merriment In McAllen
A Mexican border town, McAllen is found just miles from the temperate waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It's the largest city in Hidalgo County and is in a lush region known as the Rio Grande Valley. Nearby cities include Rio Grande City and Harlingen. Fans of the feathered will enjoy a trip to Quinta Mazatlan, the McAllen Wing of the World Birding Center - just minutes from downtown McAllen.
