Garrison Brothers Distillery

“Texas born from Texas corn,” the Garrison Brothers Distillery is the Lone Star State’s first and longest running distillery. Set in Hill Country in the town of Hye, the Garrison Brothers Distillery is home to Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey, as well as Sit and Sip Tours at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Sit and Sip Tours are $10 a person – unless you arrive on horseback – and lead visitors through an hour-long tour of the Garrison Brothers stillhouse. Private parties are available at the onsite Garrison Brothers Barrel Barn.

Real Ale Brewing Company

Established in 1996, Real Ale Brewing Company is set in the city of Blanco in the Texas Hill Country region. The brewery consists of four 60 barrel, six 120 barrel, three 240-barrel fermenters, and one brite tank to produce 72,000 barrels of Real Ale each year.

The Real Ale Brewing Company can produce 1200 cases a day, or 116 bottles a minute, while the cellar holds up to 30,000 barrels. Visit the brewery for a tour, merchandise, and a stop in the tasting room. Real Ale is found in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston – as well are Best Western hotels.
