Garrison Brothers Distillery

“Texas born from Texas corn,” the Garrison Brothers Distillery is the Lone Star State’s first and longest running distillery. Set in Hill Country in the town of Hye, the Garrison Brothers Distillery is home to Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey, as well as Sit and Sip Tours at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Sit and Sip Tours are $10 a person – unless you arrive on horseback – and lead visitors through an hour-long tour of the Garrison Brothers stillhouse. Private parties are available at the onsite Garrison Brothers Barrel Barn.

Hill Country Lights Spectacular

Hill Country Lights Spectacular is an amazing annual display of 500,000 lights, during the holiday season. This free, drive-through display has received national attention, attracting fans from across the Hill Country region of Texas. This incredible display of lights, located in Johnson City, is a must-see holiday attraction.

The live nativity, One Silent Night, is featured during two nights in early December. The HoliDazzle Magical Light Show features over 20,000 animated lights, including the Magic of Christmas Tree. While in town, rest comfortably as a guest of Best Western hotels.

This Tucsan inspired winery was established in 1995 by the Gilstrap family, in the Texas Hill Country. Their 25 acres of grapes includes vines of Italian grapes, such as Pinot Grigio, Orange Moscat, Sangiovese, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Enjoy a drive in the rolling hills of to the winery's the tasting room to sample the delicious wines.
