Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport began servicing Austin area airline passengers, in 1999. The airport is located south of Austin, adjacent to the site of the former Bergstrom Air Force Base, operational from 1942 to 1993. Once the Air Force Base closed, the majority of the base was demolished to build the airport. The original 12,250-foot runway was saved and renovated for commercial use at the airport. The original tower used by the Air Force was demolished and replaced by a new 20-story control tower.

This mixed-use commercial airport not only serves commercial aviation, but general aviation, the Texas Army National Guard, and the State Aircraft Pooling Board. Eleven commercial airlines provide nonstop airline service to 37 destinations. While waiting for a flight, enjoy the live music performed in the center of the terminal, in this "Live Music Capital of the World". Spirit of Texas Distillery

Known as the biggest little distillery in Texas, the Spirit of Texas Distillery is set in Pflugerville, a suburb of Austin in Texas Hill Country. Created by three friends, Spirit of Texas came to life with its first release, Pecan Street Rum – later followed by Spirit of Texas Rum.

This 2,700-square-foot distillery is a 260-gallon still, and can produce roughly 500 cases a month. Spirit of Texas’ first-born – Pecan Street Rum – is found throughout Texas, as are Best Western hotels near Pflugerville’s first distillery.

State Capitol Complex

The State Capitol Complex in downtown Austin, is home to the 19th-century Renaissance Revival style Capitol building. Completed in 1888, the beautiful Capitol building is the largest of all the state capitols in square footage. Enjoy walking the grounds' 22-acres to view the seventeen monuments.
