The seat of Young County, Graham is a friendly and scenic city in the Panhandle region of Texas. Graham was founded in 1872 by the Graham brothers from Kentucky who started Graham Brothers Salt Works. In 1874, when Young County was organized, Graham became the county seat.
Today Graham is the hub of agribusiness, oil and gas extraction, and other industries in the county. Graham is directly south of Wichita Falls, and is a premier resting and exploration point on your way to Fort Worth. Graham is noted for its collection of antique stores and antique auction houses. Nearby Possum Kingdom Lake is a popular spot for outdoor recreation with fishing, boating and other water sports.
