Settled in southeast Texas, Edna is an attractive city near the Gulf Coast. Known as the Flag City of Texas, Edna is adjacent to Lake Texana State Park – a 11,000-acre hotspot for fishing, bating and swimming. Fishing fans are more than welcome to reel in some catfish, large mouth bass, and sunfish, while the daredevil in your family may water-ski or jet-ski. Drive in from Victoria or El Campo and check it out.
Edna is also a gateway to some historic sites of east Texas. History buffs may stop by the Historic Texana Church – built in 1859. Try the La Salle Odyssey – a trail passing seven area museums collectively telling the story of La Belle, a sunken ship recovered from the Matagorda Bay of coastal Texas.
