Mud Creek Off-Road Park in the community of Jacksonville is a hub of mud riding action, Texas style. The 4,000-acre ATV Park hosts the Mud Nationals 2013, March 20th – 24th. The High Lifter ATV Mud Nationals hosts riders from across the US for five-days of ATV and UTV mud slinging action. Join family and friends for great trails and mud riding along with events, giveaways and plenty of food and drink.
Art lovers mark May 10th through 12th on the calendar for a getaway to Longview for AlleyFest. Make your way to Bank Alley in downtown Longview for Alley Art featuring more than 100 booths filled with fine art and hand crafted creations. Get your blood pumping with a 5k or 10k Alley Run starting and finishing at Heritage Plaza. AlleyFest is a family affair including live music, entertainment and kids fest – experience real East Texas at a real East Texas celebration of the Arts.
The Texas Rose Horse Park outside of Lindale hosts the June Super Ride XI: International Festival of the Equestrian Arts. The 2013 festival takes place June 18th through 22nd, featuring the United States Equestrian Drill Championship, International Quadrille Championship and World Escaramuza Challenge. A trip to Lindale and the Texas Rose Horse Park are a must for East Texas equestrian enthusiasts.
Celebrate the Fourth of July with a bang in Gun Barrel City. The 2013 July Fest and Concert in the Park is the weekend of July 5th and 6th. Get ready for lots of family fun including live entertainment at the pavilion and amphitheater, carnival complete with pony rides, games and wading pool, and the Gun Barrel City singing contest. Stick around Saturday night for the spectacular fireworks show to top off July Fest.
