The City of Corsicana was established in 1848 and is the seat of Navarro County. It is located less than an hours drive from downtown Dallas and is minutes away from on of the state's largest lakes, Richland Chambers Reservoir. Corsicana is a designated Texas Main Street City and is home to Navarro College. Proximity to Houston and Dallas and its central location to other regional attraction make the town a popular vacation area. Visitors can enjoy fishing, hunting, boating, heritage tourism and the arts.

Corsicana Visitor Center and Historic Downtown Corsicana
The Corsicana Visitor Center is housed inside a beautifully restored 1895 railroad freight office. The building was originally located near Olsen Feed & Seed, near the intersection of the railroad track and 6th Avenue. The depot was rescued from a pasture where it spent many years unoccupied. It was moved to Allyn Park, restored, and opened as the Corsicana Visitor Center and Main Street Project office on April 29, 2006. The Visitor Center is the starting point of a walking tour of 27 downtown historic sites. Guide books are available at the Center.
