Originally settled in the late 1800s, Cedar Park is a lively city the Hill Country of Texas, just north of Austin. Cedar Park owes much of its growth to the development of the railroad, as a narrow gage railroad was built through Cedar Park in 1881. Visitors may head south to Austin for a look at the State Capitol Complex, or to check out the South By Southwest Music Festival and Conference in the spring.

In Cedar Park, check out a hockey game with the Texas Stars at the Cedar Park Center. If you're visiting in the summer, be sure to swing by the Schlitterbahn Cedar Park with the kids and splash around this 95-acre water park.
