Neatly situated in between Pampa and Dumas in the Panhandle region, Borger is a charming city, combining a small town allure with modern amenities and accommodations. This city was established following the discovery of the rich Panhandle Oil Field in 1926.

Within months a boom-town of tents and shacks sprang up and the population soared to more than 40,000. Be sure to explore nearby Lake Meredith, a short drive west of downtown Borger. Fishing, boating and nature walks through Lake Meredith National Recreation Area are a near must.
