Valley International Airport

Valley International Airport is located east of Harlingen, in the Border region of Texas. After the original civilian airport location was flooded by Hurricane Beulah, the airport opened on the site of the Harlingen Air Force Base, in 1967. The airport's three runways service for commercial and general aviation needs. It remains the busiest airport in the region for passenger flights.

Three commercial airlines provide flight service from the airport's seven gates. Many amenities are available in the terminal, including free Wi-Fi, dining, shopping, kid's playground, video arcade room, meeting rooms, an executive lounge, convenient parking, rental car agencies, taxi service and shuttle service.
