Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum
Drawing 70,000 annual visitors, the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is located in the northern Texas Panhandle region in Canyon – just south of Amarillo. Founded in 1921, the museum is owned and operated by the Panhandle-Plains Historical Society.
Found on the West Texas A&M University campus, the museum focuses on western history, paleontology, agriculture, and Native American heritage. PPHM also features the onsite Pioneer Town – an onsite living history museum.
