Museum of Nature & Science
Adults and children in South Dallas are fortunate to have a wonderful, educational museum available to them. The Museum of Nature & Science, located in the 277-acre Fair Park, was established in 2006 when the Science Place, the Dallas Children's Museum and the Dallas Museum of Natural History merged. These incredible museums joined forces to provide the city with a valuable resource. The museum is comprised of the Nature Building, the Science Building and the Planetarium Building.
Visitors in the Nature Building will find an impressive collection of paleontology, herpetology and entomology specimens, among others. The Science Building is home to a massive exhibit hall, with over two hundred hands-on exhibits involving health and health, in addition to an IMAX theater.
