Dallas World Aquarium
Set in the West End Historic District, the Dallas World Aquarium & Zoological Garden is located in historic Dallas, and houses a number of threatened or endangered animals.
The aquarium began in a renovated 1924 warehouse in 1992, and is now an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. Visitors will see a display of animals and flowers from 14 countries, five continents, three oceans, and several rivers and seas.
The Orinoco-Secrets of the River rainforest exhibit, the Borneo exhibit, the South Africa exhibit, and the Mundo Maya exhibit are prominent areas of the aquarium and zoo.
