Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility

The Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility is an establishment of NASA and one of seven balloon launch sites in the world. Set in Palestine in eastern Texas, the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility is named in honor of the STS-107 crew from the Space Shuttle Columbia. The complex is run by the Physical Science Lab of New Mexico State University, and welcomes group tours of the facility during operation hours.
