Hotels in Alice, TX
Plan your next trip to the Lone Star State and head for Alice – found along the Texas Gulf Coast just west of Corpus Christi. Alice is the seat of Jim Wells County. First called Bandana, then Kleberg, the city was finally named Alice after the daughter of Captain Richard King, who established King Ranch.
Alice, which is also home to the beefmaster cattle breed, is a boarder between the brush country to the west and the coastal plains to the east. You'll have a wealth of kid-friendly recreation opportunities in Alice – head for the Texas State Aquarium on a quick day-trip.
Alice is also found along the Eagle Ford Shale – an oil and gas formation in Texas' Western Gulf Basin.
